Techie type folk, come together to celebrate America by blowing up a small part of it. Well, not really. It's the First Ever "We Love America (And So Can You)" Tweetup, which will feature mix of some of NY and Boston's best and brightest tech minds, drinking, conversation, and yes, even a little TechKaraoke.

To keep it pretty cheap (total outlay for non-drinkers should be $20-30, if you're drinking, probably a little more), but we will have some great times.

The itinerary:

EATS starting at 6pm

After much debate, considering the cost, the "unique" NY factor, and the number of people coming, it seems appropriate to make the dinner consist of some of the best Al Fresco in New York City at the Shake Shack in Madison Square Park.  This is located at Madison Square Park on E 23rd Street between 5th and Madison Avenue.  Acccesible via the Lex Ave Line (6 train) and Broadway Line (N,R,W). Food is cheap and great, but the lines can be long.  But, you'll get to spend some time getting to know your follow Tweetupers as we share meals (and waiting) in beautiful Madison Square Park, and you'll say you got to go there!  It'll be complete Flashmob style.  If weather becomes an issue, we'll go to plan B.  We will need some volunteers to be line waiters, but either way, it will be fun!

FUN starting at 8pm

TechKaraoke 5 - at Chorus Karaoke! We'll have the room for three hours which will give you a chance to rock out to your favorite hits (and misses) of the last twenty years.  The room will probably run about $10 for the 3 hour period.

They are located at 25 W 32nd St, New York, NY.  Near the N R W F V at Herald Square.
